Imagine waking up tomorrow and you’re 18 again.
You have all the knowledge you currently possess, but you’re given the opportunity to make different decisions.
Would you:
* Choose a different career?
* Learn a particular skill earlier?
* Save more money?
* Start a business?
* Avoid certain relationships?
* Treat your parents differently?
* Travel more?
* Take education more seriously?
* Stop worrying about people’s opinions?
* Take more risks?
* Take fewer risks?
The interesting part isn’t simply what someone would change.
It’s why.
Everyone has experiences they wish they had handled differently. But perhaps the most valuable thing about those experiences is that they can become lessons.
We can’t go back to 18.
But we can use what we’ve learned at 18, 20, 25, 30, 40, or any other age to make better decisions going forward.
The past can be a teacher without becoming a prison.
