Greed

Post by Joyce »

Greed is that deep, selfish hunger that is never satisfied. It's not just wanting something — it's wanting _more_ than you need, more than you deserve, and more than you should take, without caring about the consequences.

It's when you have enough food, but you want the whole pot.
Enough money, but you still want to cheat someone to get more.
Enough love, but you still want to control everything.

How greed shows:

1. With Money:Never satisfied, always chasing more cash, even if it means lying, stealing, or betraying.
2. With Power: Wanting to control everyone and everything around you.
3. With People: Using people only for what you can get from them.

Greed makes a person blind. It can destroy friendships, family, business, and even yourself — because the more you get, the more empty you feel.

That's why they say: _"Greed is a bottomless pit — you can pour everything in, but it will never get full."_

And yes, in Christianity and many other beliefs, it's counted as one of the 7 deadly sins because it leads to so many other sins like stealing, envy, and betrayal.
