Do you believe people come into our lives for a reason, or do we just meet them by chance?

Do you believe people come into our lives for a reason, or do we just meet them by chance?

I find this topic interesting because, when you think about it, some people enter our lives unexpectedly and end up becoming very important to us. Others come into our lives, make us happy for a while, teach us something, and eventually leave. Sometimes, we meet people at a time when we least expect them, and they change the way we think, love, or see the world.

Personally, I think some people come into our lives and leave a lasting impact, whether or not we believe their arrival was destined. Some teach us what love feels like, while others teach us the importance of self-respect and boundaries. There are people who bring out the best in us, and there are those whose behaviour forces us to recognise what we should never tolerate again.

But here's where it gets interesting: Does that mean everyone who enters our lives is meant to be there, even the people who hurt us?

I don't necessarily think so. Sometimes, we meet people because of our environment, our decisions, or pure coincidence. Not every connection has a hidden meaning, and not every painful experience was necessary for us to grow. However, even when we cannot control who enters our lives, we can decide what we learn from the experience and whether that person deserves to remain in our lives.

Think about someone you once thought you couldn't live without. Maybe you imagined a future with them, trusted them completely, or believed they would always be there. Then, things changed. Perhaps they disappointed you, your paths separated, or you simply grew apart. At the time, losing that person might have felt like the end of something beautiful. But later, you might realise that you discovered something about yourself through that experience.

And sometimes, the opposite happens. Someone enters your life without any special expectations, but their kindness, honesty, and consistency make you realise how meaningful a connection can be.

Maybe the real question isn't whether people come into our lives for a reason. Maybe it's whether we can recognise which connections are healthy for us, which ones we need to nurture, and which ones we need to let go of.

Because not everyone we meet is meant to stay, and not everyone who leaves was a mistake.

Now, let me ask you something to think about:

If someone came into your life, made you genuinely happy, but eventually hurt you deeply, would you still consider meeting that person a blessing because of what you learned, or would you rather have never met them at all?

I'd really like to hear your perspective on this. ❤️
